Full transparency

I was reviewing today my immigration documents (well because I am paranoid and need to get everything right), and it said that failure to disclose a common law partner etc. would make you inadmissible etc.

I thought to myself, wait a minute, do I need to disclose my imaginary boyfriend? 😱

Now this is something I felt I needed to ask about, although my asking may raise red flags around how accurate my answer was to the question of not having any mental problems O.o

Well, did you cohabit with your imaginary boyfriend for a continuous period of 2 years? if not, then no problem, he's not a common law partner, at least per English Law.

Does the legal concept of common law partnership exist where you live?

@firefall Not only for two years but for so many years now lol..

Of course we don't have common law partnership in Islamic based laws.. However, that wouldn't matter much for immigration purposes.. if I did have a relationship that met the criteria of being considered common law partnership, they would have acknowledged it, even if in my own country it didn't count.

@BittersweetPotato Oh ... so this means we all owe you marriage gifts?
