@Monalisasmith86 It's safe in terms of viruses, since people only make viruses that target Windows Users. Also, in terms of internet activity, you can take certain measures to conceal your identity better on Linux than windows. Windows 11 wants pretty much everything except a scanned photo ID lol. Linux, you can use a fake name and a proton VPN or TOR and you're untraceable.
For me, i only use it for the sake of being interested in computers and i like the fact that everything you can do on the GUI can be done in Terminal. In fact, i would say the Terminal is easy to use and is fast to learn.
Plus, a program that i use for my HAM equipment is only avaible for Linux.

@LinuxBreaksWindows exactomongooooo I know a lady here yesterday told me she uses a 1998 computer with Linux you should look into that one

@Monalisasmith86 That would be cool since i have a computer from 1998 that i keep in storage. The two old computers i use are around 15 years old. I used to have a Dell Dimension 3000 too but i got rid of it to save space
