Uncle Sam's Travel Plan

I am a veteran of the first Gulf War, so yep, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. I also spent the year before that in Korea. I absolutely loved Korea and still miss it to this day, though I imagine it must have changed a lot since then! It is such a beautiful country, the people were lovely, and the food is out of this world. And people think I am crazy, but Saudi and Iraq have their own beauty as well. Totally different situation though: in Korea we were in the barracks unless doing a field problem, in Saudi it was tents, and then in Iraq, we started with tents, but Top got mad at us because everybody was fraternizing but him, so it was improvised shelter until about a month before we went back home. Still think I feel sand in my navel sometimes... 😅

I was in the Air Force, not as many deployments as the Army but still did my time overseas.

@Sojournersoul There were Air Force people on site with us in Saudi/Iraq. We would have been lost without the HALO operations! Keep flying 😁!
@Sibly I was at PSAB in Saudi and had Army there too. I was deployed to Honduras with the Army and learned really quick i join the right branch of the military. 😂😂😂

@Sojournersoul Hahaha, yes you did!
@Sibly We were not required to do PT with them a 5 in the morning, they hated us. Lol

@Sojournersoul I can understand that! After the second month or so in Saudi, we were no longer required to do PT. It was a big adjustment when we got back to the States.
@Sibly They said the Air Force motto was "Aim high, sleep late and no PT". Lol
