Uncle Sam's Travel Plan

I am a veteran of the first Gulf War, so yep, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. I also spent the year before that in Korea. I absolutely loved Korea and still miss it to this day, though I imagine it must have changed a lot since then! It is such a beautiful country, the people were lovely, and the food is out of this world. And people think I am crazy, but Saudi and Iraq have their own beauty as well. Totally different situation though: in Korea we were in the barracks unless doing a field problem, in Saudi it was tents, and then in Iraq, we started with tents, but Top got mad at us because everybody was fraternizing but him, so it was improvised shelter until about a month before we went back home. Still think I feel sand in my navel sometimes... 😅

@Sibly I went in for four years to get my education, ended up staying 21 years. Lol

@Sojournersoul Oh my Lord, God Bless you! I didn't want to deal with another deployment. I tried the National Guard in my home state and they were more gung ho than the unit I deployed with! Thank God we didn't go anywhere, whew! (I did 4 active and 2 national guard.)
