No big deal

I think most people have been to another country. It is eye opening seeing that others are not much different from us, and people have the same ideas, fears and hopes wherever they are. Many of us are spoiled though, today, compared to the past, and one thing is fairly evident - government corruption and commercial cruelty are causing terrible suffering in many countries.

In my opinion, you are correct, but governments and corporations aren't able to be the source of suffering and evil. Only people can do that and people are the source of all suffering and evil...and joy and blessing.

Don't get me wrong, I understand your point...but when we say "government" or "corporations" or "commercial entities" do this or that, we're simply hiding the truth...some person, or persons, are responsible for doing wrong, and no, it doesn't have to be that way.

If you see wrong, speak up and don't rest until you've shed light on the darkness of wrong.

@SWisGoingWoke True - not all governments are corrupt, it is the people in them that are. same with companies and corporations, but as long as they put profit before people, there will be suffering.

Most Americans have never been to another country. I think that’s why this group exists- because traveling internationally is novel to them.

@WolfGirlwh0r3 not at all - keep the best of each cultures but end corruption at the top and the dominant role of big business. Look at Africa, a continent with the potential to be an amazing success, yet spoiled by corruption and shocking business practices, child slavery and idiot wars. They've gone downhill in the past 30- 50 years.
