I Have Been to Another Country

Throughout my life I have been to 4 different countries. The first was Mexico on a family vacation. My mother had recently bought a time share and decided to use it to go to a resort in Cancun. I was young when we went (3rd grade) so I dont remember a lot about it, but I do remember there was a massive pool and me and a friend that I made at the resort would always swim around and play mermaids, then go to the swim up bar and order virgin strawberry Margaritas. I would run up to my mother every night and tell her all about the things me and my new friend had done together that day. She always seemed happy that I had met this girl. I also remember that there was a different cultural themed performance every night with a different cultural cuisine to go along with it. I was a picky eater so I ate a lot of bread while I was there. That is until America night. I remember the performances of America night well because One of the songs that was introduced to me that night came up in my life every time I had a hard decision to make, The phantom of the opera. I didn't learn the words to the song until I was much older, but the tune stuck with me from that night until I was much older.

The second place I visited was Germany. I didn't see much wile I was there because the only reason I went was because I had a layover while on my way to the next destination; France

I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to participate in a 2 week long school trip abroad. Me and several other students from my school, including my boyfriend at the time, Payed 3,000 dollars to attend. i have so many wonderful memories from this trip. The first place in France we visited was Paris. II got the chance to see the Eiffel tower and many other landmarks and pieces of art, including the Mona Lisa, while in Paris, but by far my favorite part was sitting at a small cafe next to a church with My chaperone, and my now ex-boyfriend, Marshall. While we were there we enjoyed coffee and a cheesecake with delicious red-berry topping. It was such a peaceful change of pace from the usual hectic schedules we were expected to keep.
Next in France we went to several small towns and villages and got the opportunity to interact with shopkeepers and civilians, most of whom were extremely friendly. and we got to cap i off by swimming in a rocky river. Me and Marshall spent hours there skipping rocks and watching everyone play in the water. I remember being happy in that moment, even though I now cannot remember many details of that day.

Spain was he fourth country I got the chance to visit and it was also on the school trip. We went to Barcelona and Madrid and were able to swim in the ocean, and wander around the busy streets to experience the city life. The first time I ever rode in cab was during that trip.
One thing that will always stick out in my mind about being in Spain was swimming in the ocean and being on the beach in general. Marshall didn't know how to swim s when I was able to pull myself away from him, I would go into the water alone. It was murky and grey in the area we were in but I didn't care. I swam out as far as I could until I started to get too close to passing ships.I swam all the way to the booies; close enough that I could have touched to blades of any ship I wanted. I almost did once.
The first day in Madrid was the worst day of the trip. we went to see the bull fighting arenas and while we were waiting to get out of the bus, Marshall deleted all of the pictures we had taken while on the trip. I'm still upset that all of those beautiful pictures are gone, but in a way, it's a good thing now that they are. I thought me and him would be together forever but that's not how things turned out. The less memories of me and him together the better.

I would love to write more specific stories about my times over seas if anyone would like to read about them. if so, please let me know.
