And the event that inspired this celebration involved throwing rocks at the city's tyrant. Now, said tyrant was deposed over 800 years ago so the celebration is purely ceremonial, and oranges are quite less harmful than throwing stones

@MarmeeMarch As far as I know they use oranges that wouldn't be fit for market / consumption

@MarmeeMarch Nope, if it's not fit for consumption/market you can't extract juice either. Like, maybe they aren't even actual oranges but similar (non edible) citruses (e.g. bergamot)
