Does your bank branch handle cash or is a Not Bank (tm) that doesn't actually handle cash ?

Creeping into Australian banking is more and more branches (while bank branches still exist) that do not handle cash anymore. That makes them Not Banks (tm).

It's all not banks

@mindless Here the main culprits are the Big 4 which are also complicit in the push to get rid of cash - Commonwealth, ANZ, Westpac and NAB.

@butterflybaby75 I don't mind getting rid of cash

I haven't used cash in years. It's all apps these days

I think banks are a necessary evil and I despise the fact that am forced to use them while they abuse their position to generate obscene profits and management bonuses.

Not banks are even more obscure

@mindless I'm the opposite - I like control over how I use my money and what info orgs are allowed to collect about that usage.

@butterflybaby75 I understand. One of my prime reasons against cash is the (violent) crime around cash and cash machines
