Today On Local News They Mentioned A Cold Front In Australia….

Then the conversation turned to alligators. One of the bees anchors asked what happens to the alligators in Australia when it gets so cold. I wanted to laugh because it’s crocodiles that are native to Australia. They showed a photo of an alligator too 😂🦎

The big lizards have been around for hundreds of millions of years and survived multiple ice ages. They can handle a cold snap in Australia.

@BizSuitStacy If they are like alligators they’ll get in the water and stick their nose up to breathe and hibernate that way. Oklahoma has alligators now, someone took a photo of one doing that this past year. The Oklahoma Dept. of Wildlife is tracking the gators and say they are catching about one per week, some of them are getting big. They’ll put a tracking tag on them and then release them.
@cherokeepatti Time to start hunting them.

@BizSuitStacy It’s legal to get them. I know someone who was working on a ranch and one kept getting the chickens, they went out there and trapped it. Called the police and they said they could kill it if they didn’t want to release it, so they did. He showed me a photo on his phone. It was a little over a yard long. The lake is not far from there. Waiting till swimmers or boaters encounter some at the lake and it gets on local news.
