Dont you all wish you were Australian?

In Australia when the nations leader faces an election he has to go and talk to the public, in person, without a stage manager. And things like this can happen, and be recorded by the media.
And when the Leader is as inept as Scummo, he gets called out and it goes viral..
Dont you all wish you were Australian?😷 (BTW. New South Wales is our equivalent of a "Red" State.)

I have a relative from the states that lives in Melbourne, Australia. He loves it down there and I don't think you could drag him away.

@Shannon27 The man obviously has taste. He would never drink American coffee again,.😷
MartinII · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman But he has to drink Australian beer!
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MartinII Yes and No. He can choose to dringk Corona Grolsch, or any major imported Beer. There are plenty of places that sell Guinness or Boddingtons. Or Cider. or local or imported wines. American beer is hard to fine of course. No one wants it..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman But none of the beers you mention are any good! I don’t like Guinness and Boddingtons no longer exists. (The name does, but not the beer, which used to be wonderful.) And anyway, real ale doesn’t travel. So if Shannon27’s relative likes real beer (he may not, of course) he’ll have to come to England!

@MartinII Now I was happy to allow that differing tastes can embrace different brewing styles. But cuttung in with a line like"None of the beers you mention are any good" does rather paint you as having a narrow taste.. Maybe we can simply agree that American beer could be improved by bathing an aged dysentery patient in it, and leave it at that..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Sorry, I should have said I don’t like any of those beers. But on my one visit to Australia, the beer was disappointing to me. Now wine, that was quite another matter. 🍷😊
@MartinII How long ago was the visit?
MartinII · 70-79, M
@SensibleJulie Ten years ago.

@MartinII We aim to please everyone.. And Tasmania do a great line in Cider.😷
MartinII · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman By the way, I have no knowledge of American beer. I think I have only drunk any once.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I’d be interested to try that.

@MartinII Then have some sympathy for Americans.. They have to drink a lot of it.. And this patriotic thing that have going means they have to pretent its good.. A lot like American cars really.😷
