@VeronicaJane Wouldn't it have been better to give back the living than a folded flag? There has been no need for the US to be in any war since 1945 and some would debate being part in any war since the civil war in the 1800s and even that was a stupid war that need not have been fought.

Heroes or suckers. The wars the US has been engaged in in the last 70 years were wars of convenience not ones of necessity. The US had no business in Korea or Vietnam or any of the wars since. Other than the humanitarian needs to eliminate the evils of Nazism I am not even so sure about WWII.
