I did the dna ancestry test as a Saudi Arabian , my results ! 💁♀️🇸🇦
Process:
I sent my saliva sample to a laboratory for analysis and weeks later I received my DNA raw data file. I then uploaded my dna file to 2 DNA ancestry companies that specialize in comparing your dna to thousands of others from their data base in order to estimate your ethnicity/history.

Unlike the first company which only compared my dna to modern day populations, this platform also compared my dna to the dna of ancient civilizations from their data base ( dna retrieved from Egyptian mummies , Vikings, and crusaders etc etc )
My results :
Ancient civilizations : For ancient , I got 67% Canaanite /Semite and the rest is ancient Egyptian among others as you can see below
Modern : Modern mainly shows the Arabian peninsula which coincides with the first company results.
My opinion: To be honest the results were very expected and I felt like I wasted my money . I only recommend it for people who are unsure/ unaware of their ancestry or they were separated from their family and believe they can reconnect with a family member through such processes.
PS: I am only sharing my personal experience. Moreover , I am perfectly aware that there are people out there who are against this since they believe it is dangerous for a lab /organization to have your dna And I totally respect that.
