I went to Medina once as a solo female traveler last year and I also travelled to other parts of the world and I could confirm it was a peaceful and pleasant experience.
However , no I don’t know who funds it but if you could give me a list from a verified source id appreciate it.
Moreover , every agency is funded and in that case most if not all similar studies are heavily biased.

@Moon3624 I know people who have visited medina with great experience too. The point of the question wasn't to advertise one country over another because to be frank, I don't care.

But I do care about government patterns, and I look at who funds research or studies because there's usually a mutual benefit to those referenced. It's no different to a diet specialists advertising a product and using studies funded by the company owners of that product. Everyone does it and it doesn't always discredit the findings but it's always good to cross check.
