I Am a Republican

They say republicans hate the poor. I wonder what blue states offer scholarship to all high school graduate with 3.0 or better. Ga and tn does. What blue states have free community college for all hs graduates in that state? Tn does.

Blue states don't amount to much ... Hawaii, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, NJ, MD ... and the always entertaining California ... the rest of the blue states are really red states, with a major city dominating.

None of that set .. set the world on fire educationally.

So ... Go Volunteers!

This cracks me up. By that logic all the red states are actually blue states with a bunch of people in the country ruining it for everyone else ..
@Pherick: If you mean ... ruining it for the urban elite ... yeppers!
Pherick · 41-45, M
@questionWeaver: Its ok, the rural poor are ruining it for us "urban elites" whatever the hell those are.
@Pherick: yep ... those 2,800 red counties are not really part of the United States ... got to get rid of all that red ... those rural people ... go figure ... how did they manage to take over ... oh well.

Pherick · 41-45, M
@questionWeaver: How many more people voted for Hillary than Trump? Oh yea, 3 million ...
@Pherick: LOL ... votes in California ... and totally irrelevant.

Why you ask?

Because the name of the game is to UNITE the states ... whoever does a better job of uniting states wins ... goes with the name "UNITED States".

You are either with it ... or you are subversive.

Cool how that is so nice and binary.

Good to be red!
Pherick · 41-45, M
Wow man. So I am not "with it" so I am subversive? Good thing our Founding Fathers didn't think like you do.

Sorry to inform you that even though you won the Electoral college, you didn't win the popular vote, and so don't have a populous mandate. So you can bet your special snowflake ass we are going to be subversive and fight back against the current president.

I also LOVE how people seem to think because those votes came from California they mean less? What just happened to the "United" states you just brought up?
2,800 red counties vs 80+ isolated urban enclaves ... I will bet red!

Of note ... the election is over ... Trump won!

He has the mandate of 2,800 (90%) counties ... the house ... 30 states ... the senate ... 32 governors ... 38 legislatures ... enough votes for a constititional amendment ... largest shift in political power, since 1922 ... controlling all the large state budgets, except California.

California, in the end, will become a team player again ... will just take time.

And it is not California votes that count less ... it was just the extra 4 mm votes in California ... that did nothing.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@questionWeaver: I am sure the millions and millions of people (3 million more than voted for Trump) in those "isolated urban enclaves" might just disagree with you.

California is a team player?? I love the conservative idea that somehow liberal and progressive ideas are just going to "go away". Sorry guys, the world and the US are changing, for the better, you need to get on board with it.

You can say all those votes "did nothing", but what they did is show that people don't want trump in the Whitehouse. So he may be there, but that doesn't mean all those people that voted against him have to sit down and be quiet. And since we are actually the majority, we have alot of voices. In another 2 years when Congressional voting happens we will see how that affects things.

Plus for all the mandate he supposedly has, trump can't seem to do anything he has promised and can't seem to stop saying idiotic things on twitter. Sad little man.
@Pherick:

You are on the losing team.

Trump fans are quite loyal.

In 2018 ... 10 senators, in solid Trump states ... need a miracle ... or the Senate turns unbeatable.

In 2020, 8 more electoral votes ... and congressional seats ... move from blue states to solid red states ... Texas gets 3 ... just a reflection of the 2010 census.

The red counties, are part of a 26 year trend ... where more and more counties have turned red every 4 years.

Urban locales are not growing ... and already 90% blue ... no new votes to be found there.

And Trump is rockin ... putting a cork in the EPA alone ... is a huge win.

And just for clarity ... Trump won ... and red counties are happy ...election over!
Pherick · 41-45, M
@questionWeaver: Red counties are happy? Wow. You must not being watching the news. LOTS of people in red counties aren't happy to have Meals on Wheels cut, losing their health insurance, etc.

trump is seeing his support sliding away already, last I looked 37% approval rating. Oh yea ... they love him ....

Seriously man? You are happy about cutting the EPA?? You don't like clean air and clean water?

Enjoy your delusional world were everything is happy and liberals are just going to go away. Its not going to happen and I hope you can learn to adapt!
@Pherick:

I am committed to stopping everything liberal. It is a happy place for me.

The election is over ... no more recounts ... no more court orders ... no more votes.

You lost.

And yes ... I like very much that the EPA is being redirected back to the clean-up work we really need.

There is no reason our EPA needs to be at conferences in Europe, chatting with penquins in Anartica ... or counting ice cubes on the North Slope of Alaska ... they have hundreds of neglected clean-up projects to work on.

And no ... the media has no better way of reflecting the red counties, than they did in November.

I am proud of being a Trump supporter ... and only the happier since he took office.
