Son of late Mississippi Republican Senator Thad Cochran arrested on stalking and other charges
On May 9, Thaddeus Clayton Cochran, 58, was arrested by the Madison Police Department after he allegedly stalked and harassed an individual for whom he has a restraining order. He became belligerent with officers and was arrested and charged with stalking, disorderly conduct, and trespassing.
At an initial court hearing on May 11 he was denied bond. Records show that his arrest over the weekend was for the third time in just over two months.
The Madison Police Department arrested Cochran on March 1 and charged him with trespassing and contempt of court after violating a restraining order placed on him by his ex-wife. The charges were later dismissed. On March 30, he was arrested again for violating a protective order.
He is scheduled to have another court appearance later this week.
