As a former US VIetnam Era Service Member I have some things to say about this supposedly entitled tantrum I was just treated to.
1. I do not think that this kind of unprovoked in the moment outburst is in any way representative of the strength of self discipline of most, if at all, a former and honorably discharged US GI.
2. I was last in uniform in 1974 and only began collecting my SS a couple years ago after my fifty year working life and am certainly impressed by this youngster's zeal if not, energetic animations. I'm wondering why he's even already collecting his social security benefit but he sure seems confident that he's earned it.
3. I'm patiently reserved about my opinions regarding the spending investigations and program cuts being carried out and really do not think that anyone who's paid in for many many... many years is at risk. Preventing the bankruptcy of this country is way ahead of any one person's interests anyway. As a defender of this land, carryng the memories of those that laid down their lives for it, regardless, I would help in all ways required that still I may to prevent all who would do it harm.
That includes any claiming honor, monies or the microphone that they never , ever, truly earned.
At ease, gentlemen, we will remain regardless unless at such time we do not. And we'll mostly... survive.

Both parties are more worried about their political power and leverage than the good of the country.
The Democratic uproar over the CR being approved instead of shutting the government down is proof.
Our national debt and perpetually overspending on both sides of the aisle is proof.

You are right on both sides being at fault.
I would say, when the dems had the power they COULD have run a tighter ship and not made doge necessary. Wouldn’t that have been good pr for them.

Yes, they continue to demonstrate that fact. 🙁
