Republicans really need to get off their meth and move past 1950s television families as their source of truth.

Wow, I think it would be great. Are you anti-family? Because that’s what these pictures show. Oh my God, a family sitting down AppeThai ball, eating a meal what a crime

@missyann What is AppeThai ball? Sounds Asian. I’m suspicious.

@missyann so sorry I did not proofread before I sent . I would be asking the same question dinner table is what I meant
Bumbles · 51-55, M
@missyann Obviously I’m not against a family having dinner. You’ve intentionally misunderstood my post. I see you’re a pro life loon, so makes sense.

@Bumbles i’m sorry what did your post mean?
So I guess you mean being pro family sitting down together at a dinner table makes me a pro life loon ?
@missyann he's talking about a make believe family living in a make believe world where real life problems don't exist and everything works out simply with a big ol' slice of apple pie at the end.
It's a fantasy America that never existed but made people feel comfortable to watch.

Not dissimilar to the way the very popular Andy Hardy films of the 30s and 40s allowed people to escape from the depression and WW2 for a couple of hours.

Some people are revisting these images as if it was truly what life was like for everyone back then.

@missyann Yes, and I champion your repeated use of the same rhetorical device favored by middle school children.

@robingoodfellow Agreed. There were a lot of issues that weren’t brought forth mainly because there wasn’t the media then that there is today.. civil rights and blacks being treated. Like second class citizen send is the main thing that stands out to me that wasn’t talked about. There was no TV programmed for them. I always did Bill truly sorry for children that there were no black. Santa Clauses or Christmas movies. I don’t know why that bothered me so much but it did end up until the past few years there still weren’t Christmas movies that were geared towards blacks

incest was something else that wasn’t talked about an ass it didn’t make people feel better for a while. Just like Alan Jacksons song were you there after 911 asking did you turn off the news and put I Love Lucy reruns on.

Showing polite children following rules and mothers and father, both in the home, and some thing I do wish we would see more of
