@MarthannBann888 With the exception of Putin, Orban, and Kim Jong Un, the rest of the world knows that Trump is incompetent and unfit to be president, and is a danger not only to the nation but the world. Thankfully he will fall short of office once again.

The world will rejoice when Harris is elected and Trump is defeated once again.

I will say I am a tiny bit miffed that we voted in a primary already. This whole thing just reinforces the notion there is little point to participating in the process. I do because I think that notion is planted there by design.

True but let's remember that the incumbent stepping down is a pretty rare event, so your votes WILL count in the vast majority of future elections. Also, the president chose to step down, he wasn't forced out, plus there doesn't seem to be an appetite for a serious leadership contest as all Kamala's potential rivals have endorsed her.

Having a primary under these circumstances would kind of be a by-the-numbers exercise with perhaps a couple of token candidates, who would be lucky to get one delegate between them, and Kamala.
