answer- Because most of them are idiots. Actually that is the answer to most "why do Republicans think/say/do X?" questions.

I'm very suspicious of politicians who never served yet want to send in "boots." Listen, Mr. "I had other priorities.". Those "boots on the ground" are fathers, mothers, brothers, daughters etc. Have your kids or grandchildren in that invading force.
