Conservative ideology boiled down

Take any conservative viewpoint on a social or economic issue, boil away all the rhetoric, and what you are left with is "I got mine, screw you."

I will never forget Reagan calling low-income seniors on Medicare "A faceless mass waiting for hand-outs." It takes real hate for the poor and a total lack of empathy to say that.
