What's insulting about Social Security is the measly payout.
My parents contributed 12% of their salaries to 401k plans throughout their working lives. At the same time, 12% was contributed to Social Security.
The payout (at the MDR rate) from their 401k plans is about TWO and a HALF times greater than Social Security's. 🙄
