Christ is making a point, but I really think, he's ignoring the brain and simplifying everything that goes on below the neck.

I'll give you, it may not be a bad political move not to accuse voters out of thinking out of their asses or their guts, but how dumb....

Crist isn't making a point so much, as just mentioning a fact about many Florida voters. He knows they'd never vote for him anyway. There are many, many people here in this state I was born in, who seem to have hate in their heart.
I was not even a little bit enthusiastic about voting for most of the candidates on the ballot, except that they'd be preferable to the other options. That is especially true, about DeSantis.

He's pissed off, because they're not showing empathy. I also think he feels that the DeSantis "people" are the same as the Trump "people", and while they may have voted for him for Governor, as as GOP candidate, 16 years ago, they did it because they did not want to vote fro the other guy. He wants the GOP voters, disgusted with Trump/De Santis, to vote for him as a Democrat.
