An old, old newspaper comic strip
I remember these from the 1960's. Jimmy Hatlo did a comic called "They'll Do It Every Time," highlighting life's little frustrations and ironies.
Readers would send in suggestions, and when he used one for a strip, he would acknowledge the reader with "a tip of the Hatlo Hat".
But what seems unthinkable by today's standards is that he sometimes would "dox" the reader, by giving the street address!
