futureman -a superhero comic I'm working on tell me what your opinion on the idea

Futureman is set in 1938, right at the dawn of the superhero era. At his core, he’s a Superman-type figure—though not a carbon copy. He takes inspiration from the spirit of the time: radical, New Deal–inspired, standing boldly against corruption and oppression, all while wearing a striking cape.

The story, without giving away too much, follows a young boy raised in a hidden underground civilization. His world is far more technologically advanced than the surface, but it is brutally destroyed by rising fascist forces. In a desperate bid to save their son, his ailing parents place him inside an escape pod at just four years old. The pod carries him to the surface world—America—where passing motorists discover the child and deliver him to an orphanage.

Growing up as Buster Douglas, he struggles to find his place, but soon realizes he possesses incredible powers and unmatched strength. Embracing his destiny, he becomes Futureman—the Warrior of the Weak!
