Fondling my Rocks!!

Some of the hundreds I brought back from Nevada last month
ArishMell70-79, M
A fine collection!

I don't know Nevada's general geology but might I be right to guess as:

The first and possibly second look like some sort of banded gneiss.

Number 3 similarly but unconformable with the right-hand side of it. Without knowing its bed-rock origin I could be far wrong.

Alternatively these three are from some sort of calcite or mineral-vein deposits coloured by its metallic minerals: the base in No.3 might be a limestone. Or are marble: metamorphosed limestone.

Number 4 seems a conglomerate of well-rounded, river or beach pebbles in a (limestone?) matrix.

Number 5: I don't know, but I think igneous and the greeny-blue tinge suggests one rich in the mineral olivine. Which would add weight to my metamorphic and mineral-vein guesses.

What do you identify them as?

@ArishMell Would take several thousand truck loads just from that one exposure to make a dent in it. Has been a known location for quite sometime and will be there for much longer I'm sure. Can see it extending 2 directions for miles and miles.

@ArishMell Also I made a mistake about Blue schists. High pressure low temperature.

@icedsky Ah. OK!
Get your rocks off.

I鈥檓 moving west soon so I can get my hands on all the rocks!

@icedsky older than you even
icedsky51-55, M
@AlchemyFox Just barely. I bet I could make a cool fossil. Monster cans scattered all around me. Rock hammer laying there.
