It does mine as well. I find the smoother, lower tones more calming. In contrast to typical white noise.
Yeah, not sure why they didn’t just make brown noise the main go to. I wish I could melt into it. Or be in a sound isolated space with it on all the way. @SpectralMourning

@soulsrespite Most nights just for background noise I'll put on a thunderstorm track that has the distant thunder with low rumble tones. It has rain as well but even that was toned to a deeper sounding downpour.
It’s so hard for me to find rain sounds that actually sound pure and not like white noise.. 🥺 do you have any that are good? @SpectralMourning

@soulsrespite There are so many videos on Youtube and we're all going to sync differently but here is one I've put on numerous times. Mostly because it shows up near the front of my feed. It's funny how some nights I can find something like this completely soothing and chill...but then the next night I can put on the very same video and it annoys the fuck out of me. Mindset.

I understand exactly what you mean. It’s like depending how overstimulated you are or what mood you’re in. This sounds nice, but there is still some white noise in there. That static sound in there. I wish they removed it or filtered to mute it more. @SpectralMourning

@soulsrespite I'll pay more attention and if I come across one that seems strikingly well done I'll share it. I love the sound of rain but it's always the rain that's fouling it up with the static. Funny how I've listened to this one a few times and never noticed it as bad until now that I make a conscious effort to listen for it.
Now I feel like I ruined it for you.. 😔 I’m sorry.. it’s beautiful.. I am just super particular to sounds.. @SpectralMourning

@soulsrespite *Me at 4:47 AM tomorrow morning with zombified eyes and ears bleeding from the sound of screeching rain drops* "I hate her."
Fair 🥹 I am searching and I can’t find better.

I guess what I want is for the raindrops to land and make an actual impact.. Not vanish into the noise. I like the thunder and that it’s actually mixed with the brown noise.. thank you for sharing this with me.

Watch, sleepy me at 4:47am being soothed by this being like “😍” @SpectralMourning
SpectralMourning · 41-45, M
@soulsrespite Was just messing. You're right, rain is tough. And I see where your mind is going...you want those details. I'm just settling for low hum downpours because a lot of rain noise just sounds like tv static.
Do you like 8D music and sounds? @SpectralMourning
SpectralMourning · 41-45, M
@soulsrespite I don't believe I've ever listened to any. Suggest me something?
To be honest, I am still in the process of finding what I like from 8D music. But I would love to share what I have found along the way. It can get a bit chaotic and while I know what I want to hear, I have yet to find artists that play it the way I want to hear it. Don’t feel obligated to like any of this. Please use headphones while you listen, otherwise the sound effects won’t work the way they are supposed to.

This is soothing and has the effects, but I wish it had more depth of a beat to it or something. It’s really beautiful, but long and repetitive. But it is closer to what I am looking for.

While this is a bit more chaotic, it actually has all the play and elements I like with these effects. [media=https://youtu.be/VVu9tRTJUzw]
This is very long, you dont have to listen to all of it. It has the effects but not as much play as I would like. But still good. Also, I can hear a clicking, but I can’t find a clean version of this. [media=https://youtu.be/glzvMxIdZ9g]
This is a bit more mainstream song, but it does the effects okay. [media=https://youtu.be/s-YbHvVWcq0]

Sorry if this was a bit much, if I had just one favorite song that did all of the elements of this perfectly I would have shared it and not put so much in here. I am super picky with sounds and the way they interact with me, so I am still hunting for that one. Anyway, this is just what I have experienced with it so far and am always curious what others think of it as just an experience. @SpectralMourning

@soulsrespite I listened to Firefly and found it a bit hectic, but you warned haha. I’m going to check out the others when I can actually get some time to focus. Thanks for sharing them with me.
SpectralMourning · 41-45, M
@soulsrespite The first one is so chill, definitely my sort of pace. I enjoyed the effects in the others but probably not something that would be a regular listen for me.
I like the first one as well, I just wish there was more to it. 🥹 I love all the sound elements they use, it’s repetitive and my brain wants to follow more sounds and spatial play.

but yeah, that’s what I mean with 8D music, so far it’s pretty much like the very last one, mainstream and not many can do it as well as the second where the artist can actually play with your deeper perception.

The sound normally just goes in a left to right, pendulum motion in like 95% of what I have heard. I want more isolation and close/far and wrap around my mind while also keeping a steady pace.

So the first one is a soothing version of that. I think it’s because I have been sifting for years through them. And while I come close, I can’t find what I want. I can’t listen to it all the time either. It’s just for an experience. @SpectralMourning
SpectralMourning · 41-45, M
@soulsrespite I prefer the steadiness. I can find the shorter loops more calming because it lets me zone out. Too much variety and I’m going to actually pay attention. As far as a calming technique. The more upbeat stuff had some great effects though.
Fair. Well, this is just what 8D music is. It’s not for everyone and I was just sharing what it was specifically. It’s more immersive and doesn’t necessarily let you fully zone it out, it engages your brain. So it can feel like a lot.

I think I am looking for those effects. That’s what makes my brain happy and tingle. It’s not something I want myself all the time either.

I usually prefer very minimal sound. I heard your songs on your profile about me page. They are beautiful, but they are loud to me. And lyrics also are invasive to me. But that second song was more calm and their voices held a softer, harmony that I could handle. @SpectralMourning
SpectralMourning · 41-45, M
@soulsrespite Different songs for different moods and moments. Amazing how much it can change what the senses demand in a given moment. I’d say those songs on my About Me are all feelings-driven for sure. Just where my mind was when I put them there.
SpectralMourning · 41-45, M
@soulsrespite Speaking of profiles it’s crazy to look at some of your almost 7 year old posts and be able to pick out interactions you had with me on my old account back then.
Really? May I know your previous name? @SpectralMourning
SpectralMourning · 41-45, M
@soulsrespite I think it was NoxDivina.
Wow.. 🥺 I thought you left permanently.. @SpectralMourning
SpectralMourning · 41-45, M
@soulsrespite No, just a retread like the many. I was gone for awhile but ended up back on here.
I tried, I can’t pinpoint which one is ours.🥲 @SpectralMourning
