Time goes so fast…

…but the hours go so slow.

Beti Webb - Tic Toc
I've never heard this (or this artist) before, I really like it, the organ is a nice touch :)

@BlueGreenGrey
serendipity strikes and reveals a new sound to you that seems like it was meant for you, that is awesome
Well put!! That’s what I’m all about!!

@BlueGreenGrey I have noticed that some things have let me down when I have finally found them or worse I’m haunted by a sound that I can’t find anywhere else but a snippet in a film and I really want to explore and experience it again and in depth. Sometimes I wish I could rip songs and make my own loops and versions.
Another possibility is that I’m far more auditory than visual but the synergistic effects of the two combining in the right balance can also make an impression that is hard to repeat. I’m blanking on an example in a film but something like Driver or Layer Cake or Atomic Blonde and to an extent the 3 versions I’ve seen of the Watchmen film. (original to Directors Cut and the Ultimate Cut) were very vivid experiences and I feel that the music was really what made it feel so enjoyable for me and those aren’t my favorites or the best examples but they do stand out in my mind atm. Wish I could get my brain to work rn. Coherent thought is often most elusive when it’s most required for me. I guess it makes it more satisfying when it does happen though… 🫤
@Badjujubee I know exactly what you mean about not being able to find things or just being taunted by the seeming presence of it somewhere but locked up, like it used to be available or something but isn't now ... there was an Italian movie I watched once, and maybe I was able to ID the song I wanted via Shazam, I don't remember, but once armed with the ID, I could only find it on Spotify, and it was greyed out, which I don't really know what that means, I don't subscribe to Spotify so I don't know if paying users can play it, or it's just not available to stream for anyone, but I have it bookmarked and may occasionally check to see if it's stream

Then there was a song by GoGoGo Airheart ("Good Things") in a movie and at the time I first heard it, wasn't on YouTube or otherwise ... but I periodically would check to see if it ever showed up on YouTube, eventually it did and I downloaded it and converted the mp4 to an mp3, and then at some point late I think it was gone from YouTube again

There's still a bit that haunts me from a 90s Mitsubishi Eclipse commercial, I was never able to ID it, and certainly not download it, and it may not have even been a proper band ... in another case with a Bass Ale advert from a similar era, I finally discovered the music in I liked wasn't a song by a band, but music made by an agency specifically for the advert

Plus back in the late 90s / early aughts it was just more difficult to find music online anyway, so it might be years later when I could actually find something online (this may have been the case with a Korean version of a Paul Oakenfold song from the movie Collateral)

I wonder how much this would require? Maybe you could do this :)

It's been a while since I saw Atomic Blonde and I didn't recall the soundtrack being so 80s oriented, though I feel like I half-way remember that version of Blue Monday ... it's just a vague feeling more than anything concrete ... I haven't seen Layer Cake or The Watchmen, and can't find anything about Driver

No worries, no pressure, maybe after you rest, any thought you were wanting to express will eventually will congeal when the timing is better 🤗
