Eric Coates (1886-1957): From the 'Three Elizabeths Suite' (1944) 'Youth of Britain - The Princess Elizabeth'

Eric Coates wrote the 'Three Elizabeths Suite' in 1944, in recognition of H.M. Elizabeth 1, Elizabeth of Glamis (the late Queen Mother) and finally the then eighteen-year-old Princess Elizabeth. This is a sad moment for many of us, but also one of gratitude and recognition. Here is Eric Coates' spirited musical portrait of the then Princess - and late Queen - in memoriam.
