Bachfest 2026

At the "Bach We Are Family" event during the June 2026 Bachfest in the Nikolaikirche, Leipzig (Germany), Sir John Eliot Gardiner did not lead a single specific cantata. Instead, he conducted yesterday the audience, soloists, and The Constellation Choir & Orchestra in a massive, mass-singing moment involving the closing chorale of Cantata BWV 21 (Ich hatte viel Bekümmernis), which was the highlight of the festival.
