Lodestar Trio - baroque folk crossover

Local churches provide locations for small ensembles, with superb acoustics. Local musician Max Baillie brings international artists to intimate venues in town. Max trained like Nigel Kennedy at the Menuhin school, a violinist.

Lodestar is a trio of mysterious Nordic stringed instruments, a nickelharpe, and hardinger fiddle.

The music is sublime from Bourees to Salabandes.

@SW-User Is this a fund raising event?

@Liacheng No, Max lives locally. So he brings international artists down to the small coastal town where I live. Being from the Menuhin school he has loads of contacts. He is forty one.

One reason he was attracted here was because he could practise in a disused chapel with brilliant acoustics. Sadly he is not allowed to do that now, so how long we can keep him, I hate to think. So we make the most of his talents whilst we can.

This small coastal town is very Bohemian, so he fits in well.

Much better than Brighton, up the road, which is sleazy and false, grossly over priced too.
