Honey child, the Good Lord put ya on Virginia soil and the roads that thread her earth so you can slow down - fer once in yer life, and enjoy the rich scenery of 'ginia's farms and country.

No need to break yer neck go'in 110 miles an hour in one 'em fancy european sports cars on a California freeway.

You kin now relax, roll the windows down, turn up some tunes, put yer arm around your honey....and just daydream your way down the road.

Now then...ain't that a blessin'?

@imnotwhoyouthinkiam: and if you do....you'll have a slice of heaven that no fast movin' can ever give ya!

@DistractedKate101: where are you from?
DistractedKate10131-35, F
@imnotwhoyouthinkiam: South Carolina....where the swamp snakes only bite Yankees and dogs who can't hunt.

@DistractedKate101: I've always wanted to go there

@imnotwhoyouthinkiam: I've been to a number of places in this country and I think the South is remarkably beautiful....if it weren't so dad gum hot and humid on one hand, and then hurricanes whippin' up the rivers along tide country and totalling out your insurance every few years. But other than that....it's bliss!

@DistractedKate101: yeah I was born in Kansas so moving all the way out east has been a experience

If this is your first upcoming summer here in the South, whoa!
Hold onto yer hat! It ain't anything like the dry heat in Kansas. I have kin in Minnesota. It was hot there, yes, a bit humid, yes. But lordy lord, at least there you could cool yourself down by sitting in the face of a breeze sweeping in from a lake. Here in the South....all you get is hotter...and wetter....which is why we tend to slow things down a might when it comes to talkin'or deliberatin'.... which, come to think of it, from a Zen or Tao perspective....not so bad, eh?

@DistractedKate101: not to bad :)
