Whst happened to the separation of church and state? What if a student and/or their parents refuse?

I believe in freedom of religion, which also includes freedom from religion if they choose. Bible study should be up to parents at home
@caPnAhab where's that "freedom" coming from?

@Roundandroundwego What does it matter? We have it, do what you want with it
@caPnAhab people say I don't have the freedom to migrate to any country I like, but I think the UN charter guarantees it. I think the freedom from religion isn't part of US laws, but it might be guaranteed in the same charter.
Parents can still refuse any lessons in Texas.
The separation of church and state doesn't apply to Texas - For them, it ONLY applies to the US Congress.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
To a conservative, this means Texas has a right to do whatever it wants with regard to religion.

@Roundandroundwego if they refuse then what happens?
@Tastyfrzz their children get an alternative activity for that time in their classroom, and then rejoin the class. You need to be aware ahead of time, you have to read the semester plan and request alternative lessons ahead of time, but nobody would be caught dead punishing you for it!
Oh no, not again.

It was reading The Bible that made me realize how evil religion is.
