Texas measles cases have likely topped 700 today
As of yesterday, 683 confirmed cases had been reported in Texas and this almost certainly under reports the true number of cases.
New cases in the Dallas-Fort Worth region have not (at least yet) been tied to the outbreak in Gaines County.
It is beyond disturbing that Kennedy’s actions remain ineffective and that this far into the outbreak he steadfastly refuses to emphasize above all else that the best protection is vaccination for all susceptible persons with the readily available, safe, and highly effective MMR vaccine and that he has not engaged with the Mennonite community to emphasize that their religion’s stance on the vaccine is neutral.
Kennedy is demonstrably incompetent, has his own flawed agenda, and is crippling public health in our country.
This level of incompetence and the duration of which this misadministration has allowed it to continue is criminal!
Fire Kennedy! Replace him with a qualified health care professional who knows what needs to be done and has the intestinal fortitude to see that it is accomplished tout suite!
