If I ever DID go to New York

The one biggest thing I would do, is if I'm wearing a coat with an inside pocket, I would make absolutely sure that my wallet is inside that pocket. Then what I would do is put a wallet in my back pocket with nothing in it. And see if it goes missing.

I've always heard that in New York the place is filled with pick pocketers. I've always heard you should keep your wallet in your front pocket, even still, a coat with an inside pocket is the best option over a front pocket in a pair of pants.

But yeah, that's the number one thing I would do, before I even step foot in New York. I've never been there and have no plans to go anytime soon. Just wanted to get that off my chest.

Thanks.

Worked there 20+ years, no pockets picked.

Even before that, walking around The Bowery in the 90s before it became all yuppified and was a shady area, no problem.

But you do you.

@uncalled4 Must be different for everyone because in the late 80s, that's the only thing I would hear about NY. I figured with the way crime is, it's a regular thing there.

@twiigss just like animals use camouflage, many wealthy New Yorkers dress down to not advertise wealth .

@twiigss I was there in the 80s, 90s, too, then I worked on the West Side for a long time.

@uncalled4 cool. There's a live stream on YouTube of Father Duffy square and I watch that a lot.
