Just wow LA got more damage planned?

While I've been loosing it over what time I started the day Los Angeles is adding to it's menu to cook it's goose.
They are going for a minimum wage of $38/hour in certain hotels and airports all while trying to figure out if they can actually handle the summer games in 2028.
Is there any state more insane in this country?

@Gibbon and let me tell ya, alabama doesn't have a lot going for it except very low cost of living by comparison. That's how badly people want to get out of California
@come2gether I love northern Cal, would like to live there again, but cant afford it,
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@come2gether I know all about Alabama. That's where Vickie was from and where I drove to pick her up and bring her here. I know the hospitals and doctors there really screwed up her stomach and upper intestine entrance. Her daughter and I both believe coming here added 8 years to her life. Between her health issues heart bypass surgery here and getting covid while back in Alabama for a funeral her heart became weakened to where nothing more could be done. I believe that bought of covid did her heart a lot of new damage.
People wise I would compare Alabama to my neighbors in West Virginia. Unlike here it's not uncommon to get a friendly hello from a stranger.

@jackrabbit10 Many who have lived their whole lives in many parts of California can no longer afford to live there.
@Gibbon years a go it was the go to state ,for jobs cheep rent , times has reverse
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@jackrabbit10 Yup. And not just there. Politicians on both sides are responsible screwing things up everywhere. Maryland was once affordable AND business friendly. Now it's neither. And the major cities, which are few, have more than their share of immigrants. Silver Spring is the biggest zip code in the state and it's never been incorporated. It is the absolute largest mixing bowl.
@Gibbon seems to be spreading, Tennessee in the last ten years .is overpopulated for the size of the state,
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@jackrabbit10 Wow didn't know that.
