Caterpillar Moving Headquarters From Chicago To Texas

Caterpillar is the latest big company moving its headquarters from crime ridden Chicago to greener pastures in Texas.

The company has had some of their operations in Texas for many years, but now it will become their base.

It’s Illinois’ loss but Texas’ gain.

Blue states are running out of the geese that lay golden eggs.

It's kind of a big deal. I remember Caterpillar being a significant employer in Illinois.
But, since Biden insists that the economy is great, Caterpillar prolly won;t be missed.

They just moved from Peoria to Chicago a few years ago. They are trying to get away from that super democrat/union state just like many other businesses. Illinois is horrible on taxes. I have many relatives and friends (myself included) that left for better pastures. Illinois sucks!

@Funtoy4u I left 20+ years ago - taxes were part of the reason.

@Budwick It has been 25 years for me.

@Funtoy4u There are some things I still miss.
Like Blues Fest, south side blues bars, bustling downtown.
Although, some of those may not be safe anymore.

Sure don't miss the traffic or high cost of everything.

I moved to burbs of Cleveland.
