Caterpillar Moving Headquarters From Chicago To Texas

Caterpillar is the latest big company moving its headquarters from crime ridden Chicago to greener pastures in Texas.

The company has had some of their operations in Texas for many years, but now it will become their base.

It’s Illinois’ loss but Texas’ gain.

Blue states are running out of the geese that lay golden eggs.

It's kind of a big deal. I remember Caterpillar being a significant employer in Illinois.
But, since Biden insists that the economy is great, Caterpillar prolly won;t be missed.

All of 207 employees will be affected. They are moving to an existing texas facility.
The majority of caterpillars work force will still be in Illinois.
Wow! Big news there, bud🙄

@Carla I am from a caterpillar family. My grandfather, father, 2 uncles, 2 brothers and a nephew have worked there. 3 still do. Cat will not be upgrading the Illinois plants. Instead they will be opening in more "right to work" friendly states like they recently did in Tennessee and Georgia. They moved 3 of my friends from Peoria to Nashville in the past 2 years.

Whoopsi - my bad - It's just their global headquarters moving.
Nothing to see here.
It's all good - Illinois is glad they are moving, cuz it's so good for Illinois, even though Caterpillar said " Illinois' business climate no longer works for this company".

So, you're right Carla, if we say it doesn't mean anything, we can become as clueless as the president is about the economy.
