@SDesert33: the temperature can change as much as 20° from one day to the next, and does so at least weekly! Always stays pretty mild though. I can either be in the desert, at the beach, in the mountains, downtown city, redwood forest... With less than an hour's drive! Traffic sucks! Drive time nearly tripples your commute, it's expensive, overcrowded, and extremely diverse... I LOVE IT!
