Then Texas which accounts for 8.9% of federal income in 2023 about $355 B est. 2024 (6.8% federal income in 2024). Florida received 293.4 B back in federal funding. . . And contributed $310.6 B. Mean Florida's net contribution to the fed was $17.2B. then Florida accounts for % of the federal budget $310.6B (est. 2024) meaning it technically only contributed $17.2B in net proceeds to the federal coffers given federal budget was 6.16 trillion in 2023 thats 6160T\.3106T= 5.13% of the federal taxes received by the federal goveenment were paid by Florida. FLORIDA accounts for 23.37M which is 23.37/340.1 6.87% of the us population. Then New York which accounts for 7.54% of federal tax collection in 2024 ($384 B). Math pending Nearly all states receive more back than they contribute. Those 4 states pay a nearly a third to the federal budget (7.54+8.9+15.8= 32.24% ) of u.s. federal budget is collected from just those three states.
