I Am a Seventh Day Adventist and Not Ashamed [Protestantism]

Seventh-day Adventist Forever... I thank the Lord for this Denomination. It is sad say that there will be a time that this denomination will be persecuted when the papacy takes over but we will stand for what is truth. For the Lord has told us all this must come to pass before his return. I will never givee up the Sabbath day of rest because it is my protection and it is The Lords Seal on us.Thank you Heavenly Father God Almighty Jesus Christ.

You have not convinced me one bit that you know what you are talking about. It IS very simple. You say that you Adventists observe Saturday as God commanded. You are wrong in believing the specified Jewish day to be STILL of obligation. You do not seem to understand that the Old Law was but figurative of the more perfect New Law, and that in the New Law Jesus Christ established the Catholic Church which clearly teaches the change of ceremonial day. If you want to keep the ceremonial day of the Jews, you may as well keep the lot, and abolish Baptism in favour of Circumcision. And this Catholic Church which you have so little regard of? God Himself predicted He would establish a visible Church to which all nations would come, (Isaias II., 2-3.) and that out of that Church the law would proceed to teach us His ways. In due time He sent His Son and established the Catholic Church, and She tells us His present law. God has not changed. If you decide to do different successive things, your decision does not change merely because the undertakings change successively. The Jews observed Saturday, while the Catholics decided to observe Sunday. The seventh day as God's day was not changed. The Sabbath, God's rest day was transferred from Saturday to Sunday.

base the truth. So saying that I do not know what I am talking

about is clearly saying Gods' word is false; and by saying Gods'

word is False is claiming there is no God. Now with your firm

belief in catholicism I know you are not an Athiest. It is truly

not about religon, it is about relationship and obedience to God.

is Mary, or the pope? Do you pray in the name of Jesus Christ to

forgive your sins? Or do you go to a confessional and another

Only Jesus Christ was perfect and never sinned and has the power to Forgive sins. You are right the ceremonial laws are done away with, so why do Catholics have priests to forgive sins?(hmmm) But Gods' law in which He wrote, the ten commandments will never pass away. Jesus Christ said "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. And as you feel under your feet earth is still here, look up, heaven is still there, so The Law is still here. It is hard to fight the flesh because is desires sin, But only Jesus Christ can fight it. It is not the people in the Catholic church but the System that God has a problem with. The Mystery Whore Babylon and her daughters, as described in Revelations makes the whole world drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication .rev 14.

"Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Revelation 14:12.

In modern times, leaders who know what they are talking about will admit that men changed the Sabbath and not God. Look at these startling statements from Protestant leaders:

Methodist - "The reason we observe the first day instead of the seventh is based on no positive command. One will search the Scriptures in vain for authority for changing from the seventh day to the first." Clovis G. Chappell, Ten Rules For Living. pg. 61

Baptist - Harold Lindsell, former editor of Christianity Today. said, "There is nothing in Scripture that requires us to keep Sunday rather than Saturday as a holy day." Christianity Today, November 5, 1976.

Episcopal - "The Bible commandment says on the seventh day thou shalt rest. That is Saturday. Nowhere in the Bible is it laid down that worship should be done on Sunday." Philip Carrington, Toronto Daily Star, October 26, 1949.

Our Catholic friends know how the change came about. They say, "We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church in the Council of Laodicea, transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday." The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, Third edition, pg. 50.

The Catholic Press said, "Sunday is a Catholic institution, and its claims to observation can be defended only on Catholic principles ... From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first. (5)

God speaks of the seventh day 126 times in the Old Testament and 62 times in the New. The first day of the week is mentioned only eight times in the New Testament. A Catholic priest offered $1000 to anyone who could find one Bible verse to indicate that Sunday is now holy and should be observed instead of the seventh day. No one responded. I have done the same, but received no response.

We believe in One God, The Holy Trinity, God The Father,God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit... 3 coeternal persons in One. The all work together, even in the bible it explains how they speak more than one person using "we" referring to gensis. for instance...and yes you may be rightabout SDA compromising with The Mother of Whores bablyonian doctrines in certain ways...that is why The Lords true church is not a religon it is the remnant of All the Good people, righteous people that have the testimonyof Jesus Christ and "Do" His commandments...All Ten, which means the seventh day Sabbath.

I think you are deluded, but might come to know truth. The command as given by Moses in the Name of God to the Jews was that the Sabbath, and not Saturday, should be kept holy. The word Sabbath means rest. The law includes two elements; one essential, that one day in seven should be dedicated to God; the other ceremonial, that the particular day should be chosen. The Jews selected Saturday. The Christians decided to observe Sunday. It is all pretty obvious. You should give up your Christian beliefs and join the Jewish religion!

sorry my friendit is not delusion, it is The Holy Spirit. First off the commandmens were given TO Moses handwritten by God Himself. Exodus 31:18; 32:16. A Law for Gods' people(Isreal). they were not called jews at that time.They were hebrew. If you read the KJV, NKJV or NIV version f the Bible although NIV and latter Bibles have been compromised, you will see in the 4th commandment from God Exodus 20:10 "but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work;you nor your son , nor your daughter nor yur male servant, nr your female servant, nor yourcattle, nor stranger that is within your gates." paul also says a couple of reassuring statements that to youand all professed christians should be pretty obvious.Romans 2,3.&9 ie;v 25,26" I will call them My people who were not my peopleAnd her beloved who was not beloved"
Also in hebrews this is a real point blank statement for us ...
Hebrews 4:4 says For He has spoken of in a certain place of the seventh day in this way(gasp!)" And God rested from all His works" then v. 9 ,10 says " There remains a rest for the people of God.For he who has entered His res has himself also ceased from his work as God did from His. " It is clearly the Seventh day Sabbath rest and if you count the days on your calender(gasp!) Saturday is the seventh day. So the word Christian meant something different when it was founded, it actually meant to follow Christ because he is Lord of the Sabbath Mat. 12:8. Now so called christians do not follow The Way. They follow their way which is not the commandments of God. You choose your own sabbath which is not The Sabbath of the Lord and you still do work on it.Why do you transgress the commandments of God because of your traditions?Matt 15:3 . God made The Sabbath for us but many trample on it and spit on this gift. In the End, many will be weeping and gnashing their teeth for something they thought to be so simple.

The big problem I have with a Saturday Sabbath is....ITS NOT IN THE BIBLE. the bible never used false god names to call days the bible calls days ordinal i.e. 1st 2nd 3rd etc. And if its so true that the sabbath is only Saturday then why in scripture is the 1st and 8th day also called a sabbath? SDAs do not know their bible like they think they do because If they did they'd know that according to Leviticus the 10th day of the 7th month which was OBSERVED as a biblical sabbath does not correlate to the so-called Saturday sabbath if you translate that to our year of 2012!

There is nothing in this passage that can allude to salvation, it speaks of rewards for obedience and loss thereof for the opposite. The fourth Commandment and undue emphasis escaped Paul in his epistles to local Churches why is that so?

Are you aware that the Seventh Day Adventist religion has adopted some of the Catholic teachings? Both the Catholic and Adventist believe that there are three Gods, tithing will get one into heaven, and that one is baptized in Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. These are contrary to Judeo-Christianity in its purist form. The SDA reminds me also of Jehovah Witnesses.

Well first time I have heard of this above...as I have been SDA now for over 40 years...and a Survey recently said that w eas SDAs hold closer to the Bible teachings that any other denomination or religion out there. So as far I am concerned what you are condemning our church for is false. Anyway I realize there are tears amongst the wheat but our doctrines and truth still stand firm to Bible beliefs.
