Everything has gone up in price except salvation. It is still a free gift, paid in full by Jesus.
The heart of Christ is to save sinners. Paul the Apostle, in Romans 5:10, explains the extent of God’s love toward us, even when we were sinners and the extent of Christ’s power to save us through His resurrection:
“For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”
God’s grace toward us is beyond our ability to comprehend. It is divine! Therefore, when we as humans would give up on those who continue to sin against us, God in His divine grace and mercy does not give up.
He continues to exercise patience, His mercy is new every morning, He is long-suffering. Jesus died for us, even when we were His enemies. He has paid the price for all our sin.
Whoever comes to me shall be saved", appears in the Bible in John 10:9 and John 6:3.
John 10:9
"I am the door; if anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture".
In John 6:37, Jesus explains that his ministry is spiritual, not material, and that salvation comes from believing in him, the one God sent into the world. Not by trying to earn his favor. He already loves you. Come to Him just as you are, in prayer, and He promises to save you. Jesus is an advocate for people, not one who condemns them:
Jesus loved people enough to die for them, he will not reject them. God's unconditional love, can give people the strength they need to have hope.
