The blood of Jesus is the greatest expression of His love, which brings us cleansing, purification, and the ability to step into heaven..

“Indeed, under the law, almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.” (Heb. 9:22).

Blood always brings life to our veins and heart. That's why it is so vital. Jesus was not only willing to give up His life to save us from the consequences that sin placed on us, but He volunteered to save us. Not one person on this Earth would have done that for us, nor was anyone worthy enough to pay for our sins with their blood, because only Jesus' blood is sinless.

In addition to being able to enter into God’s presence through the blood of Christ, we are also forgiven of our sins, all washed away. Ephesians 1:7 says, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” Because of Christ’s shed blood, God is able to forgive us of sins, because He took our punishment. Because of Jesus’ great sacrifice, heaven is our eternal destination, when we invite him into our hearts and lives as Savior.

"…you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot." (1 Peter 1:18-19)

Christ explained the forgiveness He offers, to His disciples at the Last Supper (which was also the meal celebrating the Passover Lamb): “For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many, for the forgiveness of sins” (Matthew 26:28).


Christ’s own blood, delivers from the condemnation that sin placed on us. This truth is expressed beautifully in the hymn, “Nothing But the Blood”:

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Oh! Precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

He will never turn you away. We can take joy, that the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed us from our sins and all unrighteousness! He not only said He loves us, He proved it.
