Do you know why God approved of His Son, Jesus, to come into the world and be our Savior?
No one forced Jesus to save us. He volunteered, knowing we couldn't save ourselves from our own sins. He was the only one willing, worthy, and able, to be Savior, as He was/is, without sin. This is why God the Father approved of Him as the only one worthy enough to be Savior of the world, and our only Mediator between God and man. God could not have given us a better or greater gift.
For there is only one God, and there is only one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 1st Timothy 2:5-6
He was both fully human and fully divine. As God, He was the only one powerful enough to conquer sin and death, and atone for the sins of the human race. As a human being, He was able to represent us. So Jesus freely took upon hisself, the sins of the world and ransomed us by His sacrifice, whosoever will allow Him to save them from the condemnation sin placed on us.
In this season and at the start of a new year, I can't think of a better time to make a commitment to Jesus as our Savior and invite Him into our hearts and lives, can you? He already loves you and accepts you just as you are. He turns no one away.
Once Jesus forgives our sins, He remembers them no more, and we can start a brand new life in Christ....just as though we had never sinned a day in our lives.
