About Christ and Christianity

Chief Spirit Santorino 12/25/1966

Santorino speaking. Heralds, I congratulate you with the most prominent day for humanity on Earth-the coming of God’s Son, Christ, to Earth in order to make God’s thoughts known to humanity, and to tell it how it can achieve Paradise on Earth, or else perish.

What weapon did the Son of God bring humanity? He brought it something else with which to vanquish evil and achieve Paradise. What He brought was neither spear nor a sword. He brought love to people, for only love is capable of conquering without killing. He came in order to show, by personal example, how that should be accomplished. That should be accomplished with love, and if necessary, even by suffering and dying for it, because death not only does not kill love, but gives a new unbreakable strength, which slowly but definitely achieves the goal.

The Christian faith did not perish during the times of persecution in Rome. Instead, it became so strong that it took over entire nations. This proves that nothing can conquer the love which Christ brought. You can see the same thing in the Soviet Union, where Communist have utilized all available means in order to destroy the faith of Christ. They tried to accomplish that with punishments. They tried to achieve that with the help of science. They deprived parents of the right to raise their own children. They also tried to re-educate the children by claiming that God does not exist, and that the Christian faith is the faith of fairy tales-that it wants to keep people in slavery. But nothing worked, even though almost all churches were closed and the faithful ridiculed and persecuted.

Several decades have passed, but nothing has been accomplished. The old people who believed have been destroyed, or have died, but it still has not been possible to drive Christ out of the hearts of the youth. Quite the contrary, the Communists have hardened the people in their faith, and they cannot be broken.

What do we see if we examine communism, and teachings similar to it? We see that Communist want to make humanity happy. Therefore, their goals would be same-like the goal of Christ They however, want to reach quickly, in a few years. Since people do not want follow these appeals voluntarily, the attempt to accomplish that with force, with power, by destroying those who oppose them actively and by forcing the rest to carry out their orders slavishly. That seems to be easy to carry out, by establishing conditions of life under which people will have to do what the government orders because, after all, the government does that for the good of the people. Yet, all these people forget one thing – human nature.

Man wants to be independent, and wants to do what he likes best. A poor peasant would rather remain in his hovel and work from morning until night than abandon his tiny house and go live on an estate as a servant, even though he would earn more money there. Man want to be his own master, no matter how small, he still wants o be master where everything belongs to him, and can work as he pleases.

A government similar to the communist government existed once in Sparta, in ancient Greece. However, it did not achieve anything. The great French Revolution tried to achieve it, but ended up with the world’s great conqueror, Emperor Napoleon. Similarly, communist has begun to change inn the countries of Europe. The government of the Soviet Republic, having reached a desperate dead end, has started to seek salvation in capitalistic methods.

As you can see, the best ideas cannot achieve anything if they are not suitable for human nature. They only bring horrible suffering. Yet, a free man emerges from all that still stronger and more beautiful, as the phoenix emerges from flames.

In ancient and middle ages, priest took advantage of the ignorance of people and introduced much that is superfluous, and even harmful, in order to obtain more benefit from the congregation for their own personal use. However, they still had to preach Christ’ faith as well, and thus this faith remained in the hearts of the people. Now that each person has acquired the ability to criticize, and to differentiate between the correct and the incorrect, the church too, is forced to start conceding. Under no circumstances should the church be destroyed. It has to be transformed slowly into the true house of Christ.

I pass on to you herald, and all people on Earth, no matter what faith they might be, the blessings of God.

thanks! i like what yuri besmenov said about communism in interviews that he gave in the early 1980s. he was a KGB officer who defected in the late 1970's. he said that the KGB's objective was not military/scientific domination, the kind that is depicted in James Bond films. He said that those films probably sold a lot of deodorants. The KGB was and probably still is, focused on ideological subversion. Demoralization. He said it better than I can.
