@bookerdana Oh yeah those Russian sites come in handy, was listening to The Shining audiobook, and was wanting to watch Kubrick's movie while listening and found it on one of those totally safe places where you'll never ever get a virus!!

I've heard that from another source, and there are some good comparisons.
Neo the messiah, requiring faith, one of his disciples turns him in, and at one point he is resurrected.
But there are probably hundreds of movies with a similar story arc that you could make that argument for.
At the end of the day, only the filmmakers and writer know if that was the intention.

@Mindfulness Very well said, I would add how the red pill's color references the "blood" too, which is made a big deal about in theology. :)
