There are a LOT of false interpretations of Christ & being a Christian.
Basically, it's accepting the position Christ holds. He is the physical embodiment of God.
God formed that body, lived a perfect sinless life in it, the body was killed because it lived a perfect life (the sinners couldn't stand His perfection among them), and was taken back up to be in heaven. He died for the world's sins. Once we accept & follow His Word, we are saved & bound for heaven.
Other religions think they have to "earn" their way in. They feel they have to DO everything.
Christ did everything for us - it's DONE!

@RockinPop54 Nah, the truth is that Jesus not only did die passively for the remission of our sins, but He lived actively for the transfer of righteousness and grace upon us. If the Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus Christ are attributed to His obedience, then His obedience to God’s will is all about transferring His perfect standing to us. Baptism grew to be the quiet essential sacrament that incorporates believers into the Body of Christ (another title for the Church, the corporate expression of Christ’s life), uniting thus fellow believers with Christ's death and resurrection (the said Paschal Mystery), making participation in God's divine life possible and moving well beyond just looking out for oneself into true fellowship with God and other Christians
