WHEN LOVE FOR JESUS BECOMES GREATER THAN THE TEMPTATION

HE WAS TRAMPLED FOR US -- LET US NOT TRAMPLE HIS GRACE

I don't know about you, but after all Jesus did for you and me on the cross, I never want to trample on His grace.

I’ve been thinking lately about how much it grieves the Holy Spirit when we sin deliberately.

Not just because of the consequences.
But because we love Him.

When we truly love God, we don’t want to hurt Him. Period.
We don’t want to take His grace - that precious gift bought with blood of Jesus - and treat it like something common. Like a rose, trampled to the ground.

The Bible says to put on the whole armor of God. Why?
Because times are going to get harder.
Because the enemy wants us weary, distracted, and compromised.
Because every small compromise leads to a big fall.

But here’s the truth, beloved:
We don’t obey just to avoid hell. We obey because we love Him.
We stay faithful because He was faithful to us first.
He was crucified, laid behind a stone, rejected and alone... for me. For you.

He thought of you and me when He took the fall.

Above all powers. Above all kings. Above all the ways of man...there’s no way to measure what He’s worth.

So I’m asking myself today, and I’m asking you:
Is it worth hurting the heart of God, for just a moment of earthly pleasure, that fades like the wind?

I would rather die than deliberately hurt Him.
Not out of fear. Out of love.

Let’s stay faithful, church.
Let’s put on the armor of God...
Let’s guard our hearts, our minds, our marriages, our witness.
Because Jesus is coming soon. And we want to be found faithful.

"Above all, keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life." Proverbs 4:23

[Verse 1]
Above all powers, above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began

Crucified, laid behind a stone
You lived to die, rejected and alone
Like a rose, trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me...
Above all

[Verse 2]
Above all kingdoms, above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what You're worth

Crucified, laid behind a stone
You lived to die, rejected and alone
Like a rose, trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me...
Above all

Even Himself

Laziness is a bit like temptation - temptation to relax than do what we are supposed to, that will bring value to us and others. But it's difficult to not confuse it with your body's need to relax and rebuild itself by taking easy. Maybe a balance is the way to go.
