In John chapter three we are told:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
It isn't an easy thing to do! Believing in Jesus, because there are so many detractors, so many who will argue, and argue, using every weakness of they who mean to follow the Christ as an excuse to say He never existed, that God doesn't exist! It is hard to argue against the onslaught but that is what faith is all about!
I do believe, but I acknowledge that impatience makes enemies of every neighbour, and arguing with them against what you might think erroneous is hardly exhibiting the love for your neighbour that Jesus said we must do, with love for the Father, in order to fulfil the Law. It is essential for us to stand up for God the Father, God the Son, asking for help through God the Holy Spirit!
