Learn to always take charge

King Ahab failed not because he lacked power, but because he lacked spiritual leadership. Though he was king, he surrendered the altar of his home to Jezebel and allowed idolatry to take root in Israel. He knew the ways of the Lord, yet chose comfort over conviction and silence over truth. By permitting his wife to lead him into Baal worship, Ahab abandoned his responsibility to guide his family in God’s Word. His downfall reminds us that leadership in God’s work is not about titles but about obedience. When a man refuses to take spiritual charge, compromise becomes culture—and the home pays the price.
