I'm not sure about the KKK, but there definitely are Alt-Right groups who actively promote racism and acts of harm towards anyone who is not white.
They try to spread their views world-wide.
There've been plenty of court cases proving the motives behind their crimes.
And they themselves are usually proud to boast about it.
They are monitored and tracked online by govt spy agencies, especially the money trails. Their goal is to try to catch them in the conspiracy stages before the commit the crime.
Most are young, white males, poorly educated, deeply disaffected and already have a criminal history - the same types who are often working through troll networks.
